I believe the vast majority is playing the game at Normal speed.

I know everyone has reasons for choosing the speed they play.

I really like Marathon (hey, we retirees have all the time in the world!), but I think it is very tough to play the game at that speed - of course, depending on what other game variables you select.

So, I play most games at Epic speed.

I picked Quick because all multiplayer games are usually played on Quick so that things actually happen before the game ends due to time restrictions.
I played Vanilla Civ on marathon because you can barely field a unit before you've obsoleted it otherwise, but Ffh2 is much better in that regard.
I play various speeds in single player, usually Quick if I want to see how a certain plan will play out, and marathon if I want a good long game.

I'm playing epic but I still voted for normal because that's what I've used before (and a long time) and I still haven't decided which I like best.

I was used to play normal in vanilla civ, but I found the normal of ffh2 slower... and better! It is true that in vanilla, units get obsolete too quick. But I think that the normal speed in ffh2 is great.

I say that but I never tried the other speed setting in ffh2... maybe I should.

Normal generally, occasional Epic games if I fancy a slow burner (had a nice raging barbs game going on 0.22 but abandoned it in favour of 0.23).

I play Normal mostly, but I do enjoy Epic games when I have the time. With my peaceful play style, it makes things tougher without turning the difficulty up ridiculously high, and thus more fun. :D

Normal feels like the optimal speed, no painfully long waiting times and enough time to try out units.

Marathon. I'm a sucker for looooong games.

Either normal or quick. Even then, I often find the early game too slow, leading to cheating, often leading to being too strong in the late game. I cant wait until I can play with advanced starts!

I play normal but I think I'm going to change to quick as I think the game pace is too slow and there's a lot fo time when there's nothing to be done (like cities can only product units but upkeep costs prevent me from keeping them).

I used to play mostly Quick, but I've gone over to Normal for single-player games, with a few at Epic, and a few at Quick.

Playing the Epic game in BtS really got me back to hating Normal speed tho, everything goes SOO fast. And Epic speed becomes almost like Normal after a while, while Marathon is way too slow (I really get killed by unit maintanence or city maintanence before I get Code of Laws).

I really like how well the game speeds work in FfH atm. Quick does it's job. Normal feels like an Ok pace, and Epic does what it's supposed to do. Only speed I have a problem with atm is Marathon.

I'd like it if marathon only made techs slower, my reasoning for playing marathon games is usually because i want a game that will see particular types of units being useful longer, but the problem is that they end up taking so long to build that I run into the same problem: by the time I have units and manage to field them they are obsolete.

Generally Ffh2 is better in this regard and even on Quick I'm able to use all units for a fair amount of time to good effect.

I play at normal speed, though I'm tempted to change to quick. Even a normal game on a small/standard map feels to me like it takes forever to complete.

I play normal. FFH2 is different from Vanilla and I think the normal speed is just about perfect.

I play epic or quick, usually quick in multiplayer .. marathon seems a bit off .. but I havn't played a marathon game since about .16 i think so i should give it a shot since so much has changes since then ... gotta finish this epic .23c game first though.....

I don't think I've Ever played a normal ffh game.

I play on quick and still find it too slow, but that could be something to do with the fact that I play on a 'Huge' map always and so the time between turns is around 8 seconds at turn one, let alone turn 50 or 100.
