whatever happened to Stars!?

I remember a shareware game (and I believe there was a full version out there too) called Stars!. Basically a turn based strategy game vaguely reminiscent of Masters of Orion. Why can't I find it anywhere anymore? Does anyone know where I can get the shareware version of this game?

I know of the game and did use to play it but I'm not sure where you can get it from. I do know someone that has the actual game but it probably wouldn't run on XP.

Here in Russia is MUCH WORSE than fifteen years ago, so you better stop your irony.

It is bad that good (or even great) games are stuck in finance, but midless one-day games are produced in huge amounts.

Well, Stars! version 1.0 is free now. Go to the main website and check out the links to some of the fan sites. One of the fan sites was given permission to give away version 1.0 (the retail game is up to 2.7i I believe).
