Of the possible victory conditions, which is the most difficult to attain and why?

For me personally, diplomatic, because by that time, my reputation is totally destroyed. However, in general, I think Histography is toughest simply because it takes so much patience to actually play all the way to 2050!

Conquest, for me. I'm an incredibly defensive player and rarely fight more than one war in each game. The first game I won was through the Histograph. I also feel dreadfully unsatisfied when I play a SHORT game of Civilization, so I never aim for a tiny-map-conquest...

In fact, the one time I DID play for conquest I ended up losing horribly. Of course, when I'm the defender, I'm nigh impenetrable.

Culture 100K or 20K. I play warmonger from the start of the game and continue this until at least 500 A.D. Therefore, almost all, of my cultural improvements, come extremely late in the game (around 500-600 A.D.), and the only ancient wonder I will even try for is the Hanging Gardens.

20K culture.... never got it once... gotten all others before

20K. I almost got it once. I was a couple turns away but got 100k first.

Depends mainly on map size 4 me, im an all round player and ok with any vic. condition - but i still find it hell hard to get domination or conquets victory on a huge map - thats why i think standard size maps are the fairest and best for an even game where each vic. condition is equally difficult.

I would say that a cultural 20k victory is hardest mainly because i havent been able to do it yet. I usually aim for a space race win and only get in a war if I have to, which means a diplomatic victory is easy for me.

I voted for conquest, because of the extreme amount of time and patience required for such a victory, especially on large and huge maps. Interestingly, 20K victory is my favorite, one which I have achieved quite a few times.

I voted 20K, I've never done it before. The closest I got was 14K cp ...I think I won that game by 100K culture instead.

I've won the game (in Chieftan,) by every means...and I'd say that unless you have a significant advantage over the AI, military victories would be harder. My Warlord wins are all diplomatic.

I votet culture 20k, because you have to focus your game from the very beginning on this goal. I won done it yet (but soon :) ).

I voted Histograph. To do this you have to prevent the AI winning by Space, Diplo or Culture, and at the same time avoid Domination yourself.

I voted for the 20k culture victory simply because it is the one victory condition I have yet to achieve. I am working on that at the moment.

I think either 100K , 20K or domination. It is extremely hard to conquer that much and hold on to it, worrying about flips and properly defending each city.

I think it is between 100k (because of the double culutre of rival civs) or conquest - certainly for me. Diplo is I think the easiest (if you keep a good rep - a few bribes and you got it).

I voted 20k, although I've won like that a couple of times. You never will get a 20k victory 'by accident' (well maybe on chieftain) were as 100k culture can happen when you're trying for dominition, conquest or indeed 20k.
With Conquest or histogragh I have little experience, as they seem ... boring ... to me.

Depends on map size as a few others have said.

I find domination or conquest on huge maps to be relatively easy (now playing monarch) but time consuming. Have been known to spend two more days achieving conquest after I have won with domination

Diplo has to be the hardest for me - I just can't keep my finger off the trigger.

I took diplomatic, i can never hold down peace unless im bored with war,i can never be bothered with getting people to declare on me for me, i just ask for their world maps then declare war, simple for conquest, hard if u want to lead the United Nations' struggle for peace..
