So I remember a while back a thread similar to this was started on the main forums. I decided I would like to have this thread in the fall further forum. So now onto how I play the game.

Quick game speed, Custom continents, low sea level, small world, 2 continents, 8 AI enemys, no tech trading (ruins the individuality of civs when you can just trade techs) all unique features, AI no level and building requirments, and finally on random civ options, turned off all fall further civilizations. I feel that the FF civs are underpowered when used by the AI, however for me, they own. *cough* Mazatl *cough*

So now tell me how you play, I really REALLY want to try new things but I don't know where to start! Also tell me the advantages and disadvantages of each game speed. I only play on quick but how does normal and long game speed work out? Are the AI any better at certain speeds?

I generally play:
Custom Continents, Perfect World or Erebus.
Large and about 12 AIs. (I'd do huge and more, but my pc isnt that good :()
I play fall further, and my fav civs are:
Lanun
Blaseraphs (no idea how to spell it correctly)
Spider people, the name illudes me at the moment.
And the explorers, whose name also escapes me.
I usually play with barb world or raging barbs.
I always play with double events.
(EDIT: I play on normal speed and noble difficulty (yeah only noble :()

Earthlike Techtonics and somtimes continents or pangea.
Large with 13-20 AIs.
I dont have a favorite civ, but some that I like:
Lanun-I like navies that actually do something unlike in vanilla, and the +1 food is insane
Hippus-I love horsemen. I like all civs with a good UU in the horse line.
Archos- Their recluses and the brutes are insanely powerful. Nothing cant beat a 6 str axemen.
Scions-Very unique, good flavour, different ways to play the game, for example: the wraith lords line, haunt line, doomgiver line, etc...

Sometimes the double armaggedon, as without it, the counter stays almost always below 10 unless I go on a razing spree
Monarch-makes me feel high and mighty, although in vanilla, im a player that just went up to prince.

Most common game setup:

small, emperor, 6 player (2 good, 2 neutral, 2 evil), techtonic, pangea, no tech brokering, raging barbs, wildlands

large, epic(so that I can use the units i just researched), monarch/prince (depends on faction), 15 players (5 of each alignement), Erebus/fractal, no tech brokering, no vassal state, 2*events, permanent alliance, flavour start...(might forget some). Most of my games are FF, I'm but a traitor, must admit...

I like crowded maps, because the AIs don't fare well with barbarians, and I hate having my game too easy just because I'm the only one able to develop.

Fixed variables: Monarch, Epic, Huge Fantasy Realm map with default number of civs (I think 11), No Vassal States, No tech trading, AggAI. I use Random for the sea level and Rational for the resources. Wildlands.

I used to always let the computer randomly select the civ I would play (except for one with Barbarian trait or Lanun), but have to admit 3 of my 4 FF games have been with Scions. :)

I used to also select Raging Barbarians and Barbarian World, but no longer in FF.

First off I usually play two games at once on two computers. So I have something to do while the computers having its turn.

Also I have found that I can resist the temptation to keep reloading if I play a hot seat game against myself. I take two out of the19 to 27 teams. If something bad happens, I usually have enough mixed feelings to just press on.

Currently I am playing a huge marathron archipelago, deity map as Kahdi vs 19 others on one computer and a Huge normal erebus Immortal map in a hot seat game where I am playing Absaroke and Dannmos on the other. Both are aggressive AI, raging barbarians, barbarian world, blessings, living world and wildlands.

I am a professional online poker player, which is why it feels natural to multitask this way.

One problem I have been intending to mention.

Abosaroke has just had the bear move into prominence, which is sacred to Mulcarn, with the results that some tiles in Abosaroke’s city radius have turn temporarily into tundra. Dannmos on the other hand appears to have a different night sky, with no icy side effects.

Shouldn’t some events like what’s in the night sky be global effecting everyone similarly, while others like disruptive globins be local.
