Never. There are 12-13 civs left to announce (of which 2-3 are DLCs) and 9 full weeks left to the release.
I think they will release one FLciv video per week until the week of 17-23 october.
On that last week (game is released on 21, friday) we will see first look videos of the last regularciv and those 2-3 DLC civs.

It may seem like very late reveals, in the last days before release, but for example last two BNW civs were revealed merely one week before the release so I wouldn't find that too late. It'd also make sense for me to reveal optional DLC$$$ civs last and right before the release, to hype them and boost sales (or more cynically: to not make people cancel preorder pack due to dlc content disappointment )

I also think we'll get 21 civs on release, not 22: 18 regular, preorder aztecs and two DLC civs. Why 21, not 22? Because two of 22 rulers shown in the leak were very definitely Spanish, and I think devs at time of leak were simply not sure which of those two use for Spain (I don't believe in "dual leaderscreen" or "multiple leaders" theories).

My additional bet is: DLC civs will be Poland and Sumer (due to them being very popular demands yet non essential civs).

We'll see who is right soon...

We have 9 civilizations revealed with 9 more to be shown to be at the target number of 18 civilizations at launch (as confirmed by Firaxis). With 9 weeks left before launch, that's one civilization per week. Then the remaining four civilizations will be released as DLC's (as confirmed by the Steam pre-order page) and those are most likely going to be shown after the game's launch.

So to answer the question posted in the OP, I doubt Firaxis will go back to two First Look videos a week unless they absolutely have to in order to get the information out.

This. We still need not only clarifications, but even first looks at some other mechanics. Religion, Religious victory, and theological combat? Casus Belli? Espionage? National parks? Government legacies?

I think Government Legacies is pretty straightforward, other things, not so much.

I wouldn't give National Parks too much thought, if anything it's probably an alternative to Lumbermills.

They promised us both a look at Religion and Diplomacy ages ago and still haven't delivered.

They will probably do one for Religion and the Religious victory, at least. That's completely different from both Civ4 and Civ5 (religion similar to 5, religious victory...similar to 4? maybe?)

They might do one for the Great People system, since that's also brand new (only like Colonization)

One FL I would like to see is a full release of the Christopher Tin Sogno Di Volare performance from a couple weeks ago. I know we have a sample from a YouTube gameplay as Japan. But it would be nice to hear the full score.
