Thanks for your interest in my sig, though I do not get your comment. As I understand it you are a christian, so I am guessing you are familiar with the story of Samson? I do not get the contradiction. As I understand it Samson is meant to be a hero, who falls from the path of god but returns to it and has his gift returned. The Philistines had occupied Israel, is at least reported to have brought down the temple of Dagon killing many including women.

My point is that is very difficult to make decitions about the right / wrongness or sin / not sinness of an action without considering the context.

I am off on holiday tommorrow, so if you do not get any further answer for a couple of weeks it is not me ignoring you.

History has remembered Samson as a hero after he committed suicide by destroying a religious building during a civilian festival killing thousands of people including the leaders of a regime that had occupied his homeland.

The last line of your opinion seems to contradict the rest of it.
