Where can I find the unofficial patch?

The only link I can find is to the Realms Beyond forum and the link to the patch there no longer leads to anything.

Is it still available somewhere?

The patch that I use comes installed when you buy the game from GoG and it is the 1.40b23 patch.

I think you can find that or perhaps an even newer version (might fix a couple of bugs) at Lord Brazen's site.

There is also the 1.31 patch for the original cd version that uses the ORION95.exe file to start. This version works with Windows through XP without having to use Dosbox. That can still be found here (I know because I just reinstalled the game and downloaded the patch from there):

In case you're still looking, the Unofficial Patch at Realms Beyond (1.40M is the latest version, and the only one of which a working copy seems to be available now) is back up, with a working link in the first post of its thread: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthread.php?tid=2996

It went down with a forum server switch, but now links to an off-site location where kyrub (the patch's author) has it stored. This is a patch for the original MoO however; if you're looking for a MoO2 patch, hopefully the other replies were useful.
