I think modern USA is a blend of Peacekeepers and Morganites. We act like Peacekeepers to the rest of the world like we are its sole guardian, but on the inside at home we are like the Morgans.

America used to be like the Free Drones, and i think we are either heading into the direction of the Hive or the Data Angels.

I WISH we become more like the Gaians, though.

Now pick a country, and
1- write which faction it is most like,
2- which faction it might have used to have been like,
3- what faction it might become, and
4-what faction you WISH it would become more like.

All your opinion.

No, I think America is more like The Lord's Believers :mischief:

Well, China is like The Human Hive...

I would say the USA is a blend of Morgan's free market agenda, Miriams crazy religion in govt and the backwoods are full of Santiago's gun nuts! Which is why I don't live there!

Not that I have anything against Americans on a drone by drone basis ... I just don't like your social engineering options! Why couldn't you have spent those energy credits dag nb it! :)

I think that the current USA under Bush is like the Morganites mixed with the believers, but with an infinitely dumber leader.

You can't realy link a modern nation to any one faction, because they all contain bits of each.
It was kind of made clear in the intro when they say the factions formed, "Not by nationality, but Ideology."

Correct me if I'm wrong on these, as I'm a Brit, but as far as I can tell, America's states would divide up between the factions as follows. Please make any suggestions/comments:

Gaians: Tricky one to start with, but I think Washington state, the one below (limey-ness showing itself here ;-) ) , Alaska and parts of California.

Morgans: New York, the rest of California and in and around Chicago.

Believers: Any of the sort of midwest farming states (is Idaho one of them?)

Spartans: Texas, Arizona, anything bordering Mexico. Probably Alabama, too, but there'd be some Believers here as well

University: THE U.K! Just kidding. Probably just a few locales near Yale/Harvard and some of New England (where are Yale and Harvard, by the way?)

The Hive: hmm... with the present government I'd say the District of Columbia

U.N.: Well, I spose the UN building's currently in New York, but I've already said that... hmm... I guess Florida, coz the white middle class seemed to be absent when I was there. Hardly call it a home for the intellectual elite, though.

As I said, keep the ideas coming

The Dutch are most like the Pirates (they get water colonies, right? Yaarrrrrr). It used to be like the Pirates as well (yay West Indies Company, they were mainly a bunch of government-hired pirates), it might become like the Data Angels (Internet is fast and widespread) and I wouldn't mind that either for the future.

Canada has the best elements of the Peacekeepers, and the worst of The Hive. Peaceful, freedom loving, and multicultural, but with an overbearing burecracy and to much state involvement in the economy.

The midwest states are suprisingly secular, much more secular then the South, but not as secular as the east and west coasts.

Minnesota is definitly University, the Twin Cities has a massive amount of technology for its size.
