Which free online games can you recommend?

I somehow want to waste more of my precious time and so I'm searching for good and entertaining online games to play.
I recently started playing Nova Gaming System on Gamecatcher, which is a great example for what I mean.

But as the lecture period in University ended yesterday I will most likely spend more time at home, which means I'll also spend more online, and NGS alone doesn't need as much time as I want to spend.

So what am I searching for:

• Something rather complex, not just randomly hitting buttons for a highscore
• Something where you play together with or rather against a larger group of people
• Something where your actions actually do something for that interaction, unlike Nationstates for example
• Something where you can play rather frequently, not just one adjustment a day
• Something with a fast server
• Preferably something set in a real world or sci-fi scenario
• alot more that doesn't come to my mind now

America's Army is quite fun and good looking game. I wish that I could get it to work correctly for me. BTW it is only reasonable to download it IF you have a fast connection because it took me about 2 hours to download with 26,1 kB/sec.

I play nukezone also. It is addicting. The current round is over in a few weeks. Good time to start and learn the ropes at the end of this round so you can start running in the round that starts at the end of March. It is free.
