I can't seem to find where someone recently requested a State Religion Happiness tag for Buildings. I wanted to refer to it because I searched the building tags and apparently there is one already. So either my note was not descriptive enough as to what was actually being requested or its already available and I need to figure out what the request amounts to exactly.

The current iStateReligionHappiness tag affects only the city in which the building is built. Was it a national scope modifier we were looking for perhaps?

That is the only state religion tag on buildings. I suspect that the rest are needed, health only when state religion, commerce, and so on. At least that was the gist of my request along time ago.

What's stopping you from using the "Search by User Name" function?

It does, all you need to do is, click on your name, and look for the one that says, see ALL posts by Thunderbrd. . . . SO

Update

- Move Slave Market building out of core and into captives while I work on it.
- Update captives for Neanderthals and World view Slavery. Note. You can now run slavery but not turn it off yet.

There are a number of tags we need on buildings and specialists to fully convert the civic into a world view.

• (buildings and specialists) Tech Happiness and healthiness
  [*](buildings) State Religion happiness. Currently we only have religion happiness which is applies when the religion is present in the city iirc.

I need to write concept information for the world views. Cannibalism is almost ready also.

Thanks for pointing out how to get to the user post list - I'd looked through my profile stuff and couldn't find it (because its not there... lol). Anyhow, this was where the request was made and I highlighted the one I'm talking about here.

We do already have a building tag for iStateReligionHappiness. It makes the city happier or unhappier if the state religion is in the city. DH, was this what you wanted? If you want something more than I need some clarification.

OK, I've figured out what I was asking for, I want to be able to say that a building gets -3 happiness if your state religion is Zoroastrianism. Currently I can only give -3 if Zoro is present in the city or all religions give -3.

So unlike the current tag, it'd be independent of whether the state religion exists in the city? Just a specified religion being the state religion is enough for the modifier to take effect?

Yes, I want -3 for Zoro state religion -2 for three of the book of Abraham and so on if and only if they are the state religion and are present in the city.

But the state religion being worshiped in the city then would have no effect on that tag, just that its the state religion. Ok. That'd work and I think I can come up with some appropriate tag naming for it.

BTW, you and I will have some things to talk about regarding a number of potentially new tags that will interact with the Religious Disabling mechanism that I'm about to update the SVN with. Will be a point of discussion for the next cycle so be considering what tags will need to be cloned to be 'available while the building is disabled as a result of being a religious building of a religion not the state religion'. We'll need to do this for select existing tags when you want that tag to not NORMALLY operate that way. If you don't need a distinct difference, then we don't need a new tag, just to include that tag or not include that tag in the disabling effect. I'll explain more after my update (which had better be by the end of this weekend!).
