Why do people condemn gaming?

I've heard that Singapore bans video games that involve gay and/or lesbian material. I don't quite know why, nor the details, but I seem to remember the first Mass Effect was banned in Singapore because of the the Liara - Femshep romance scene, for example.

there seem to be x'tian neo-con elements in our parliament who think such material have a "HOMO AGENDA" or some catchphrase they need to look up in a encyclopedia. except it's probably not there. i have no idea how these frackin' inbreds got in there.

probably the same way "industry leaders" get consulted about government policy.

then again we've always had conservatives in the government who say they're acting on "public concerns" when they randomly ban stuff... since the 70s. very odd to me. the history books and musuem records showed that the region was very liberal towards arts and culture in the 60's.
