Why do stealth fighters have an attack value?

I dont see the reason why stealth fighters have an attack value if they can't do air superiority.

Any one know the answer....cuz it's bugging me.
 
Probably it's there so the program has something to 'fight' it with when it tries to bomb a city that does have planes in AS missions.
 
Interesting question. I never actually get past the SS techs, or even use helicopters.

Kinda funny that fighters can't fight.

Yeah but IRL stealth fighters are used to bomb rather than intercept.
 
I still don't know why they are in Civ. They have no advantages of Stealth Bombers besides cost.
 
^Best recon unit in game, other than that useless.
