Why do that title.gif doesn't work?

Yup, I'm still existing, and started working myself seriously on units graphics, since it looks like prom will never be able to send them 2 me, I've designed 2 more title.gif files (<a href="http://www.guess-it.f2s.com/title.gif">red text title on source</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="http://www.guess-it.f2s.com/title1.gif">orange text title on trees</a>), My problem is that the first one doesn't look correct in civ: weirdly, even if hes color 0000FF is in the palette, it looks like a weird greenish blue... HELP!!

I'm not sure this is it, but there are some colors in the civ2 palette that are reserved for other purposes. One of them is the bright red, which changes color depending on tribe color. -It's the red color used in the airfield and on the shields.

Could this be it?

Yes the use of pure red should be avoided unless you're using it for one of the special purposes Morten listed. Try a slightly off-red. The closest one in the standard Civ II palette has an RGB value of F3 00 00.
