It's me again with a last remark for today.
I have been trying out several civs in order to find a good barb defense, and besides protective archers, I didn't find anything that comes early. Holkans need ressources now, Dog soldiers not, but they come only with MC. And even bronze working takes quite a while, because you also need all those techs that reveal ressources.
So, why are Immortals so extremly easy to get? Horses + AH, that's it. If you are lucky and the horses are river-hooked up, not even the wheel is needed.
I played on monarch and I took out a whole civilisation (3 cities) with 5 or 6 immortals. I guess I would never play a multiplayer battle against Persia
. And with Persia, it's a bit too easy and therefore doesn't attract me.
Are there any other strong early units that I didn't notice?
