Wide screen for Civ4

I know the feeling...widescreen rocks, but not all games support it =(
My monitor is 1440X900 so I'm in luck with Civ4
Everything I read on the internet says Civ4 supports your resolution, though its not in my list of choices. Is it a new monitor? Not to be rude, but make sure you have all the proper drivers (ie monitor drivers) installed, I believe it makes a difference. Does your regular desktop run at 16801050?

I didn't know where to post this, but I'm having problems with my wide-screen.
I've been playing this game for over a year with no problems (normal screen).
I buy a new widescreen monitor and this game becomes a disaster.
First of all the graphic textures are... screwed, see picture below

Secondly after about 20minutes of play my screen crashes and says: There is no video input signal or something.
This both accure in Civ 4 and in Warlords. Anyone got an idea what to do to play this game again normally.

Video card either overheating or going bad I would suspect.
I had a card that I had unlocked some pipes on and it would occasionally do exactly what I see in your picture. It would also do that (and other things) with the pipes locked back up and over clocked when it got too hot.

: Definately pixel pipe problem (can see by the overcondensing of pixels), dont think it is a direct X problem, as no teraing can be seen.
Can't help, having the same problem with "no signal" screen goes black when I finish settings to play, was working fine and suddenly stopped. Have since upgrades to 1.74, downloaded current DX9, am using XP PRO SP2, nothing has changed, suddenly it doesn't work anymore.
Can someone help us?
