I was away on business for awhile and came back to find that Civ V had been patched not surprisingly. The problem is that once I select DirectX 10/11 (or 9) I get the 2K screen and the game crashes!
I looked on the boards for solutions. Including 2k's suggestion regarding integrity check of GCF's -- Windows is up to date as is my nvidia 9800gt
The game still won't start.
I purchased some of the DLC. Is there a way to delete Civ V and reinstall so that hopefully this will fix my problem?
How do I do it without losing anything? I purchased on steam instead of disk.
