also if any body else wants to use this thread for the same reason i am please go ahead.

I did a quick search of the Toshiba model you mentioned, and it doesn't have the graphics capability to run the game from what I can tell.

:( allright well thx any way.

Even if it did the game would run very horrendously.

well the site says it will work. and thx btw for the link.

Well, I just tested that website out, and it said Crysis would run on my work laptop, when I know for a fact that it won't.

I double-checked your laptop's specs, and there's really no way it's going to run Oblivion in an acceptable manner.

I have no idea what you consider "good" or not, so it's going to be up to you to determine what games get that qualification. I wouldn't spring for any cutting-edge games, obviously. Your laptop isn't a gaming rig; it's a basic laptop designed with low-cost in mind. Your mileage on 3D graphics will vary, but chances are you will have to to dial down the settings drastically if you want to run a game made in the past few years.

I'm not really sure if that helps you any.

You're welcome ;)

I never bothered with Elder Scrolls 3, but I've enjoyed all of the Neverwinter Nights series. If the demo worked on your laptop at settings you like, then go for it (which also means your laptop has more beef than I thought).

Knights of the Old Republic is also very, very good, and if I remember correctly, the game allows users to turn off a lot of settings. So it can probably run on a variety of machines in terms of performance.

yeah actually i had the graphics on the highest setting in the nwn demo and still found it to be meh, but its a cheap game with good gameplay and thats what really matters right?
