Perhaps some one out there can help me. Sometimes in certain conditions windows encounters a problem and quits the game when I am playing multiplayer lan mode.
I have figured out that the two times this happened was where when I tried to research chemistry and it immediatly had an error and kicked all players in the lan game out. However, when I did not research it and got it from an AI, it was perfectly fine.
The second time this happened was when an infantry was killed.
I believe that maybe during the installation process, certain files were not loaded correctly such as maybe the sound effects for when an infantry dies. Since the game is in multplayer mode and the computers could not communicate with each other from the small problem, it cause a massive error.
Now.. I don't know if this is true and I really don't feel like re-installing the CIV IV game, but if it comes to where this is really the problem then I will.
It would be good if someone can really come up with a solution instead of a guess and all help will be appreciated.
