WMI error when loading mod

Need some advice.

System error reports:
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.

25% of the tiem I can load FFH2, most tiomes it frustrating no load.

System
Vista 64bit Home
UAC turned off
Intel 2g Dual Processor
4g ram

Thoughts?

This appears to be a Vista problem, not related to Civ4 or FfH2. I was able to find mention of the problem and some proposed solutions here. I do not use Vista, and cannot vouch for the accuracy or efficacy of any of the information located in that thread. I suggest you take that as a launching point for your own investigation into the problem, and only take action once you are personally confident in a particular solution that you elect to take.

OKay.

The error is not related to loadinf FFH2, its a general visat64 error and the solution is not worth the effort as it really doesn't solve my problem of loading FFH2.

Something else is going on here....

I hate vista.

The actual error from the CIV log file:

[8540.009] ERR: InitWinApp() failed, exiting
[8540.009] ERR: CIV Init FAILED, exiting

So, somethign in the init file causes vista to croak.

Should have never moved to vista
