Magna Carta (with Feudalism?) , Chicken Itzu (replaces pyrimids), Terra Cotta Army , (with philosophy) , Mir (with space flight, or something) , That Giant Jesus Statue in Brazil (with Monotheism) , The CN Tower (with radio).
Well what were some of the other Asian Monarchies...that could be done...I really don't know Eastern history all that well...but there must have been some that stood out...perhaps a dynasty?
But beyond that, I was thinking the other day that there must be all kinds of wonders that really are being left out...that could have been done instead...
How about the 5 Year Plan? It's a Wonder that it actually worked somewhat for the Soviets, in which was to bring old industry up to speed with the rest of the world in 5 years. Could be like a King Richards Crusade thing.
Taj Mahal instead of JS Bach's (about the same timeframe)?
Forbidden City instead of er, Statue of Liberty? (sorry Civ 3 fans but there was no such thing as the Forbidden Palace - all the palaces within the Forbidden City had their own names).
Forbidden Palace? Oh, brother. Anyway. I think the "Bill of Rights" would work as a happines wonder, with Democracy, perhaps. "Imperialism" or "Militarism" could replace Sun Tzu's.
I really like Showstealer's idea of 'Mir', particularly as I'm just finishing off a new WW3 scenario... I might just use that one along with 'KGB' and 'World Wide Web' etc. (think I'll pass on McDonalds though )
thanks for that, more ideas-
Edison's Invention Factory
MSN Messenger
Yahoo! Mail (these two for a intrenet wonder style)
Aachen Cathedral
Petra
Sphinx
C.W. McCall (yeah! only the best for you guys!)
Sears-Roebuck (store-catalog)
Wal-Mart
Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show
Mac-OS (my local school swears by it)
Brady Bunch (replaces Sistine Chapel)
