Wonder movies "on/off" setting for multiplayer.

just add it, or is it allready in there?

If not, me and many with me will have to play single player just to check out the movies :crazyeye:.

I find there isn't enough time to watch a Wonder movie in MP. One movie = 1 turn on Blazing. I don't even play with combat animations on and I have Minimize pop-ups.

Not sure about the wonder movies- they'd probably judded to a hlat on all but the sturdiest machines, but I would like the full quote each time you get a tech, instead of just Spock saying "you have discovered such-and-such".

I agree on Innawerkz, There is no time for it in Multiplayer.

and if you want to see the movies, just look in the game folder for the movies and watch them.

Well; it all depends i guess. therefore it should be an OPTION.
me and my friends have pleanty of time to watch the movies when we play.

i agree with BearMan: it should definitely be an option. My brother and I play, and we've realized that without the movies or popups, the game just lacks flare or excitement. It's almost like playing Risk. Plus, we have plenty of time (especially while I wait on him to decide on everything).

If some people, particularly slower machines or larger parties, wish to turn off the features, fine. But at least give those of us who want to watch them the option to have it. Everyone wins this way.

Agreed.Another vote to have the movies in multiplayer as an option. I tried to convert my two brothers to the joys of CiV by playing with them in a multiplayer game. They had played some Civ2 before (where the movies do play in multiplayer), but they didn't really get the fun of CiV. They felt the game atmosphere felt a bit 'flat'.

I am pretty sure that they felt this because of the lack of game 'feedback' in a MP game; no movies, no pop-ups. One brother didn't even realise that he had completed a Wonder, as the tiny text in the left hand corner scrolled by so quickly; surely not a good 'reward' for the achievement of building a wonder! :(

Oh, and as for time..we are perfectly happy playing a leisurely game while drinking tea and eating sandwiches! :)

Well; I've heared it isnt added in BTS either.
So, can some nice modder tell my how to enable it manually ?
(I've been searching and checking a few mins now but I can't find the right XML entry, or maybe it is an INI ?)

^^

Thinking about it more, having it as an option would be great so long as it was the individual setting up the game who could influence it for all the players.

My main objection to it is the length of time. If different players on different turns were sitting back enjoying the cinematics, it could translate to an unnecessarily long game for those who don't really want/need to see it. If the game host can be 'in control' of the option, at least those who join could see it and decide if they wish to continue.
