Wonders with upkeep costs

Has anyone tried this?

Will the computer sell the wonder if it becomes unaffordable, and if so is it lost from the game entirely?

Just did a test - seems the game doesn't recognize the wonders as having any upkeep costs, regardless if you give them one.

Case closed.

A way around this would be for an events flag to check technology of a given tribe every turn. Until a technology is discovered by that tribe to make the wonder obsolete, you could take a certain amount of gold from the tribe every turn.
