Woo-hoo! My eMac has arrived!

Sorry for the OT post, but I've got to share this w/ those who understand. My wife is like, "Oh, nice, set the old one up for the boys." Well, I guess I'm the same way when she starts talking about bunkbeds, overstuffed chairs, etc. Blah, blah, blah.

My old iMac G3/333 is out to pasture, replaced by a gleaming G4/1Ghz eMac. I'm ready for the new school year and some gaming. I've not installed Civ3 yet, but have HOI, which I've been beta testing here lately for VPltd. Runs really well. Forgive my exuberance.

Personnaly I'm enjoying my brand new 57 inchs widescreen Hitachi HDTV... the feeling must be same or close...

djb, have fun with it. I won't say you're lucky because I know you work so hard. I notice that there are quite a few games coming out now that are beyond the specs of the older iMacs.

And best of all: with all that grunt at your disposal, you'll now be able to play with numerous civs on Huge maps!
