Would anyone be interested in a Boshin War mod?

So I have been thinking about this for some time and finally decided to (maybe) make this mod. I think i will take most of my inspirations from Shogun2: Fall of the Samurai, with a few civ 4 elements. What do you guys think of this idea?

Short story: Japan remained a traditional country untill 1854, when the Western Powers forced the country open, also causing a civil war between the Shogun and the Emperor. So the mod would be about the modernization of Japan, units would include traditional samurai (archer, spearmen, swordsmen...) and modern troops (riflemen, gatling guns, canons...) and the battle between shogunate and imperial clans.

If there is as much deepness as in the sengoku mod in this I would certainly give it a try.
