Well I think that civ 4 needs more events, and when I mean events I mean devistating ones. Let's say Civil wars! you empire separating to different parts after rulling for too long and letting them reble for too long. I mean a revullotion that will kick you off the throne, or rebeling armies that will march to your capital if you don't give the military enough attention (i.e funds that would be able to be separated to the army itself, and research to military techs). I mean the risk of losing the control of your empire if you play badly. I think creating lets say a "royal family" that is eager to succeed you at any point will bring this game to new highes. I know it's knew, I know it's strange but it willl bring so much more life into the Civlization series! Think about it, you are a soal ragent FOR NOW.
Of course I would recommend taking down the corupption that ruined the game in the first edition. and make the game more multiplayerable, the fact that the civ III first edition went out without the option to be played online it a bit strange. We live in the modern age, we live in the age of Internet, I mean Sid mere get modern!
Ah and another important change I'd inflict is that ai will be a bit more flexible in its diplomatic agreements. I noticed that if you'd offer a peace treaty to ai after grabbing some cities from him and getting to a "nearly accept the deal" and you add some tech it will immediatly jump to "they will never accept that deal"... strange some bug there I suspect...
Another Idea I had is making each nation more unique, and if you control of a certian amount of people that are not your own people you would be able to open a "forgieners army"
That's all for now....
