WW2 pacific strategy?

Well, it is strange, but I cannot seem to get anywhere in the scenario playing as japan. There are SOOO few units especially essential ones like paratroopers to clean up the indonesian islands, and it takes too many turns to build new ones. Is there anyway to win this?

I suggest you read some of the pbem games and some SGs in the forum and
. We have some EXCELLENT players there: ericA, rcoutme and
several others . Study those games, especially the 1st turn moves of
Japan and you will soon be . You have the forces a game start to win
the game on VPs by @turn 20-30 . There are several threads in this
section on strategies and other players ideas.
