WWII_Axis_jussi scenario version 1.48 (file size about 100KB)
A Word War 2 scenario for Sid Meier's Civilization 3 version 1.29f
modified(without permission, sorry) by Jussi from the scenario World War II_Axis which is originally made by Luiz Paulo.
In this scenario you will lead Axis to invade the whole world..
CHANGES
-I have modified the scenario and its rules so much that I really can't and I really don't want to remember all the changes.. There are minor but not so minor
changes like ships can now travel to and from Leningrad..
-General rules are modified: No settlers -> no new cities. Citizens are no longer so vulnerable. Terrain defence bonuses are modified, also city and fortification bonuses. More shields from cutting woods.. And this won't "suite" to all: one can
not initiate propaganda..hahhaa.. Perhaps even more..I don't remember..
-Map is modified: no railroads, because i didn't think it is realistic(or fair) to be able to move the whole army across the Europe and Asia in a single turn. Workers can't make railroads(neither plant forest..).. And because of the lack of railroads I had to increase the production of irrigation and mining.
-Civilizations and governments are slightly modified from the Paulo's scenario.
-Technology is modified to better(in my opinion of course) reflect WW2 techs. The techs are not dependent on each other so you can study them in the order you want. The techs will only give the units/improvements pictured in the boxes, they
won't do anything more.
-Improvements and wonders are modified. Things like: no more extra move points for ships. No more airlifts. Airfield does not allow even airdrops(It can be performed other way.). Some costs are modified. Perhaps these were the biggest changes.. And don't be too angry if the pictures of improvements are messed up in the city screen..I really don't even want to know where it comes from..There may be
also other problems but..
-Units are modified: almost every. Try to think them to be real WW2 units..Or at least try to think like I was thinking them to be.. Of course it isn't even
possible to make Civ to reflect WW2 perfectly. Units' costs and strengths are modified, of course. There are also bigger changes: helicopters are "truly" bombers which can't be loaded into carriers, but they can airdrop paratroopers(and tactical
nukes because of the editors limits..but perhaps it isn't bad..). A tactical nuke can be thought to be a bomber or even a boosted V2 carrying the bomb. Paratroopers and those big bombs can be transported through seas by battleships. AEGIS cruisers
represents evolved destroyers. Nuclear submarine is in the same way an evolved version of submarine(but not a nuclear one..). Minor but not so minor changes are like: bombers can now destroy ships.. But why are panzers better than other tanks?
Cause it is fun to have.. Well, after all, German tanks lacked almost everything in many cases but that was well compensated by the use of tactics(at least so I have heard..). But why..why..why..? I will answer only that you can always make a
scenario of your own..
INSTALLATION
is very easy. Just unzip(you don't have a program.. Get one. There are also free programs, like Powerarchiver) the .bic file to somewhere, say into
the "scenario" archive in the archive where the Civilization 3 lies. Then you just click the scenario bar in the main screen of Civ3 and find the .bic file you just unzipped.
HAVE FUN!!! And if you won't, at least don't sue me..because..
LEGAL STUFF: I will NOT be responsible to any kind of damage these files may do to a person or anything.. And copyrights..joopajoo..
