Yep - Another problem. Game won't start!

Ok, well - I've installed the game, upgraded all my drivers to the latest versions, etc - but the game won't run.

When I try to run it, it goes past the splash screen and then goes to the loading bar - it then just quits on 'Checking XML'.

My PC specs:

Windows XP Home Edition SP2
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Motherboard
AMD Athlon XP 3000+
3072MB DDR400 PC3200
GF6 6800GT 256MB
40GB/80GB IDE HDD
200GB/400GB SATA Drives
24x10x40x CDRW
16x DVD-RW +/-

Anyone got any ideas? :S

Oh, and I have the DVD version.

exactly the same problem -.-

i reinstalled the game bout 10 times and this sh*t still doesnt work!
what the hell is goin on there? i also formated my pc, stil lthe same problem....
can some one help me? i wanna play that game!

Exactly the same problem with me,

Although bizzarely a few hours ago i tried it and the game worked, came on and worked fine. Then i closed it and have gone to play it again but its doing the same thing as before.

Ok, I got it to work by installing the XML Parser updates from microsoft's website.

Now the issue is that it won't work at all on my main user account :S

I had that problem yesterday when i got the game, took about 3 hours to finally work out what was wrong. I think its to do with the safedisc 4 protection on the dvd. I finally got it to work when i tried it in a different user account. Then had to update my graphics card drivers, but thats a different problem. Plus i unpacked the art0.fpk, not sure if that made a difference or not, but its working fine now, if only a little slow to load up.
