I'm working on my first mod and am trying to add a wonder, but am getting the error specifying that there is a missing entry in pedialcon.txt. Except...
I've quadruple checked that all needed icons are there (they are)
I've triple checked that the number I gave it wasn't already taken (it isn't)
I've triple checked that everything is spelled correctly (I'm not seeing any spelling errors)
I've made sure wonder splashes are also spelled correctly (they are)
I've made sure to specify it's a single building

Is there anything I could possibly be missing?

If everything above is correct, it might be that one of the file names is too long. Either it is the large and small .pcx or BLDG_xxxxx description.

Thank you, I'll look into that!

EDIT: Unfortunately it didn't work and I'm stumped. It's pulling up the old directories for the error message in game despite having restarted the computer and ensured that it's nowhere in the text file or in the editor.

Friu, welcome at CFC! :band: [party]

I don´t understand what you mean by "restarting your pc". Normally when such an error message pops up, you only have to restart Civ 3 or the expansion of Civ 3 that contains your scenario (mostly C3C) and mostly you receive a window with a detailed message what pediaIcons entry is missing. Best is to post here a screenshot with the error message.

With your very unspecific details about what version of Civ 3 should contain your scenario (Civ 3 Vanilla, PtW or C3C) and the text folder inside that scenario folder, it is too much to write here about all possibilities for all versions and expansions of Civ 3 (per example the entries for buildings in the pediaIcons files of Civ 3 Vanilla and C3C are different).

Can it be, that you have edited the wrong pediaIcons file, per example a pediaIcons file in the textfolder of a scenario that you have installed in Civ 3 Vanilla or direct in the text folder of Civ 3 Vanilla instead of a pediaIcons file inside the text folder of your scenario and that scenario placed in the scenarios folder of C3C (what must be done when using Civ 3 Complete, what today is the most common way to play Civ 3) ?

I've triple checked that it's the right pediaIcon file! But thank you for the suggestion! I'm using C3C, hence the tag. I've made sure it's in the right folder (I've successfully installed other modpacks, so I'm sure that this is the right folder!)

O.K., C3C. Have you changed the name and/or the BLDG_entry of that wonder in the biq compared to earlier versions of your scenario ? In that case there could be an old version of the biq in the virtual store of your pc (especially when playing with win 7-win 10) that overwrites the name and BLDG_entry of the current biq of your scenario.

As posted, a screenshot of the error message and additionally the zipped pediaIcons file and the name of the added wonder that is not working could be helpful.

That actually seems like a likely possibility. I'll look into this, thanks!
