Upon landfall, focus on growth to get two pop up for colonist building, research engineering to reveal titanium, save up for a soldier for colonist trek (although aliens don't seem to attack them as readily as you'd think), and by the time engineering is done, so should the colonist.
Settle for titanium always. A mine gives out 5 production and if its on grasslands you have a leg up.
Prosperity's first two tiers are optimal for worker, colonist, and 7 health.
And since it's multiplayer, you can almost be certain that trade is on everyone's list, make sure to find miasma free route to other players cities...but domestic trade first, I think. Autoplant quest for extra convoy ought to mark international trade.
