I'm visiting the lands of Tomyris now and going back home on Tuesday. So I'd like to ask you guys which is your opinion about civ6 after Antarctic Summer Patch and hotfix have been issued. Does it worth to start a serious game? :)
The issue with coast is linked to the yield of sea tiles and IMHO it could be solved having also science and culture yield every 3-4 tiles. I like role playing and when I manage a civilization which has the capital on the sea irl, then I found my capital on the coast and I'm fine with it.
I think there are several way to improve the maritime civs:
- make more significant the Eureka moment for sailing due to have a costal city: without a coastal city the research for sailing should take way more turns;
- create new Eureka moments related to research and civics, linking them to...
Greece, Kongo, Cree, Mongols and Incas have been the best AIs opponents so far.
Phoenicia, Maori and Mapuche did good as well.
I'd like to see the AI managing better civs like Aztecs, Romans, Egyptians and Sumerians.
