The only problem with starting to create our own maps is we don't know map sizes yet.

From the one picture we have of the advisor and the interface I'm half expecting a small leaderhead with animation somewhere between the ones in III and IV for the city-states. What I wonder is if each city-state will have a unique leaderhead or an auto-generated one.

Agreed. This would be my argument for why I'm ok with religion and espionage not being in Civ5 Vanilla. Obviously they are extensively reworking combat, and I'd rather wait for a 'really good' religion and espionage system in an expansion pack than have it feel tacked onto Vanilla. Now if...
