How do we FORCE gaming companies to start releasing FINISHED Games???

Here is a fact for you, When Civ I first came out, game budgets where small, teams where small, and designs where simple. Civ, in itself was probably one of the largest undertaking in terms of scale during that entire era. Comparatively, games did not consume much more than a meg or 2 of space...

    Buying a courthouse

Courthouse has to be built, otherwise a rich civ could just annex every city and buy the courthouse on the same turn.

question about using nukes in civ 5

Nuclear bombs won't destroy a city, Nuclear missiles are required to do that, the bombs are much less powerful but have a longer range, the missiles have a shorter range but do far more damage.

suggestion for multi-stacking units on roads

Interesting idea, I don't think the roads should allow unlimited stacking, but 5 units would be good and would still require you to have to think about how you organize your units. It would vastly increase the benefit of roads for sure. I don't think the units should be defenseless however...

How many hours have you logged into Civ V?

Just out of Curiosity, please answer the poll, then reply with the exact number Steam tells you and how you feel about the game to this point. 55 hours here, I'm really enjoying it, there are a few issues, the AI could be smarter and the camera jumping around is a little annoying, but overall...

Civ2 player returning, start with CiV?

If my 55 hour playtime on Civ V is any indication, then yes, Civ V is definitely worth buying. Keep in mind, I have been playing Dead Rising 2, Halo Reach and Europa Universalis 3 since Civ V was released as well, otherwise that time would be much higher. There are a few issues with the game...

    Your Own "What" Moments

You set it to abundant, and the map generator is setup to purposely give you a better than average starting position so really, the blame is yours for the 6 sugar. As for the barbarian infantry, in reality those would be akin to terrorists or "freedom fighters", they should probably change the...

I want to hear from Firaxis

The simple fact that you have the right to go out and voice your opinion about whether or not you think the western world is alright is proof that, yes, in fact, the western world is doing just fine. The USSR collapsed under it's own strength, completely, the Blanket of Socialism that covered...

I want to hear from Firaxis

Capitalist regimes like the ones responsible for putting a man on the moon? or capitalist regimes responsible for probably almost everything you own? Capitalism isn't the bad guy here, Capitalism built the western world, Capitalism pushes technology forward at such an accelerated rate that...

Game gets really slow, really fast with huge map

It's not a problem, it's just a vastly more complex game and AI system. Each AI player uses 4 threads, each city state uses 2, and on top of that, a number of other threads get used for graphics and other calculations. if you have 12 players and 24 city states, you are running 96 threads...

I want to hear from Firaxis

Judging by the attached screenshot, taken 30 seconds ago, the MAJORITY absolutely adores this game, it takes one HELL of a game to top the Steam charts.

Game gets really slow, really fast with huge map

So what your saying is that a game engine optimized for up to and possibly EXCEEDING 16 cores and built on the whole concept of multi-threaded operations has a tendency to only run on one thread? I'm sorry, but unless we get a professionally tested benchmark done that proves your statement...

    Are Game Manuals now dead?

I want an Android phone compatible Civilopedia, it doesn't use paper and gives me civ knowledge on the go. I guess iPhone users and Blackberry users could get one too, but I honestly don't care about them...

Has Civ finally Jumped the Shark
