I was having the same problem. I reinstalled the patch and it still doesn't work. For some reason my game is still saving file version 100.
any suggestions?
Wow that looks great Rufus.
While I'd love to add them to my game, the sad state of my computer requires me to try to get rid of the diplomacy animations to improve the performance.
Does anyone know hoe to replace the diplomacy animations with a picture?
thanks
the NoMovies option turns off wonder movies and religion founding movies but it doesn't turn off diplomacy animations. Still trying to figure out how to do that.
Can someone post the perfect settings for the .ini file to maximize performance? I've looked through it and some of the setting I don't understand what they do. Some are easy, like turning off the in-game movies.
If anyone could post the 'perfect' .ini file here for those with low end...
There must be some big time modders out there who can't edutate this poor soul as to how to speep up my game by remove diplomacy animations and whatnot? :worship:
I can run it OK with all the graphics minimized but its still a bit jumpy. Does anyone have advice on how I can tweak it down even more that shown in the options menu. Some way to turn off the diplomacy animations maybe?
thanks for any advice
reading the rules it says: "If the captured city has a population size of 1 or has no cultural value, you will automatically destroy the city."
Is that 'no cultural value' destroying the city thing new? It doesn't say anything else about it
I got it! Delivered from EB games, it was waiting for me at work this morning (city college new york). I can't play it till I get home but the tech tree & spec charts are full of reading fun!
proof: manual page 109, first word is 'Snow' (I don't have a camera at work)
I got it!!! It was waiting for me when i got to work (physics dept, city college new york). delivered from ebgames.

proof: page 81, first word is 'Cathedrals'
Wow! Friendly units can share a square even if they're not in an alliance or anything. Was that common knowledge before? I'm not sure how it will affect gameplay. Do you think if one side declares war, all the share squares immediately start a battle?
