The Tenno however, in his merciful benevolence and in the hope of avoiding the horrors of war, gives his word to his people in the region occupied by the Jinrai rebels that no hostility against them will come from Yamato so long as the occupying government acknowledges the divinity of the Tenno, and takes no action offensive to the sight of Tennoheika, and of course so long as it does not associate with filth such as the USSR and promptly renounces all association and treaties with them.

Tennoheika Banzai!

The USSR protests against the Yamato offending demands and asks the Republic to keep its treaties with the Soviet Union.

Again, and this does bear repeating: We are not traitors nor are we rebels.

OOC: Also, did you know that misquoting posts is against the rules?

ooc: Im not misquoting a post, im posting what you REALLY said, ergo a completely different thing alltogether ;)

ooc: Im not misquoting a post, im posting what you REALLY said, ergo a completely different thing alltogether ;)
OOC: That's not what I said and I would not even state those things that you've misquoted me .

ooc: comprehension lacking on your part I see... lets see.

Its blatantly something you never said, and its clearly expressing "my" perspective on those diplomatic proposals of yours. So how about I say it directly to see if it gets through to the controlman behind the blank, lifeless eyes of your avatar: ITS NOT MEANT TO BE QUOTING YOU!!!, its meant to be a propoganda/imperialist japanese style statement in regards to what you actually said attributed to the "Jinrai Republic". Ergo its not meant to be an actual quote of yours, rather than a political statement in regards to your diplomatic entreaties.

sheesh, some people just cannot get simple propaganda! The rule against misquoting is intended to avoid slight alterations to peoples quotes in arguments to avoid strawmanning and deliberate libel and slander. That doesn't really apply here, especially since Im not even making any effort to make it appear like something you actually said. Gee Im even saying you never said that now!

Our top stories this evening:
Political repression spreads from the Empire of the Setting Sun to the Empire of Yamato, New Britain votes against UN intervention
The launch of HMS Daring marks the resurrection of the Royal Navy
A majority of Latinos identify as New British

Good evening.
The repression of Formatics in the Empire of the Setting Sun continues unabated despite a UN resolution condemning the practice introduced by the Empire of the Formatting Crew which has been voted against by the New British ambassador to the UN. We understand that the leader of the Opposition is preparing to hold the Prime Minister to account for this decision at Prime Ministers Questions on Wednesday. In further developments the Emperor of Yamato has claimed that nations who have opposed the resolution recognise his authority. In response the cabinet has issued the following statement - "The only authority that the Government of New Britain recognises is that of HM Queen Elizabeth IV". In a seperate statement the Prince Consort declared "those slitty-eyed foreigners can take a long walk off a short pier if they think we'll bend knee and kiss their yellow fingers".
Furthermore Yamato's Imperial News Agency has reported that a number of citizens of Jinrai have been executed for refusing to worship the Emperor. In response to heightened tensions in Japan the Foreign Office has declared the Empire of Yamato and the Shogunate of Jinrai to be High Risk regions and are making arrangements to evacuate New British citizens.

In Stanley today the Queen officially launched HMS Daring, marking New Britain's return as a naval power. Following sea trials she will patrol the waters around the Falklands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.

A recent poll of the Latino population has indicated 56% of Latino citizens self-identify as New British. This is the first time a majority of the Latino population has responded in this way.

Leonid stated today that the USSR shall create a Red Army Japanese Military Force. The Mission of this Military Force will be to secure peace in Japan and make sure that Yamato will accept to end their imperialistic policy. Next turn the Red Army shall start operations to secure peace in Asia.

The USSR embargoes Yamato. Also Yamato has 1 turn to stop its claims on Republican land and start a peaceful foreign policy. If Yamato doesnt accept, the Red Army shall begin operations to secure that Yamato will stop its imperialism.

And now for something different :p

The British Pact
I propose that the three nations of British origin (England, New Britan, and New England) agree to this pact, which states:
1. The three nations involved shall have mutual free trade pacts.
2. The three nations involved shall be allied and have mutual defensive pacts.
3. The three nations involved shall have a Mutual Research Pact, so that we share our discoveries and remain equal.
Signed, Samuel II, King of England

Welcome back to the EBC news headlines at 12 o'clock.

The formatting dispute appears to be at a stand off now, with the UN voting down the resolution to intervene in the crisis. The Egyptian Government has still refused to show support one way or another, and people are begining to question if the nation really has a coherent foreign policy in place to deal with such issues.

A similar dispute is at the same time erupting in Japan, with both sides calling for allies in face of a war that may well be imminent. The spokesperson of the USSR has issued Yamato an ultimation, demanding it take a less hostile tone or face 'peacekeeping operations' in the region. The republic has denied the Yamato claim that they are 'rebels and traitors', and insist they have the right to self-government. Once again, the Egyptian Government has said nothing about the crisis.

The Kingdom of new Britian has launched one of the first major warships of the new era, HMS Daring. This guesture of naval capacity is matched by a claim that they accept only the authority of their own queen. Some interpreters have wondered what this means for thier relationship with the UN, but the statemnt seems to have been primarily directed at the government in Yamato.

We want to secure that Yamato wont attack the Republic and that it wont insult the USSR.

The Foreign Office would like to clarify that the government of New Britain recognises the primacy of the UN in international affairs and that our statement was aimed solely at nations trying to usurp the sovereignty of Her Majesty over her kingdom by word, deed or misleading propaganda.

USSR offers a DP to the Kingdom of New Britain.

Busy with tests :( NPC me for this turn please.

If there is a peacekeeping operation in Japan, New Britain wont need to join. This is a DP not a Military Alliance.

We do not wish to be pulled into a war that is not in our interests should Yamato declare war against you due to your rhetoric. Whilst we have taken umbrage against the outpourings of the Emperor's propaganda machine we do not see fit to slap an embargo on the country or threaten to dispatch HMS Daring to level the Imperial Palace if they don't stop their schoolyard taunting.

I understand your fears. Once this diplomatic crisis ends, we shall offer again a DP.

Also USSR will try to solve peacefuly this crisis. However if the Yamato are arrogant enough to either refuse our demand or declare war, then the Red Army shall protect our Motherland.
