first prince game help

Hi
i'm doing fairly well on noble and i want to attempt my first prince game, and i would like some help getting through atleast the first bit and getting better at specializing, and city placement

I'm doing Big and small, and i picked:
normal continents
islands
islands mixed in

I am the dutch so i am using Beyond the Sword

I believe that i should move my warrior 1 sw to reveal more land there, and probably settle in place unless something to the west excites me

Yeah, warrior 1 SW.

Barring any fantastic terrain to the west you will do well to settle in place, I think.

That city will be OK in the ancient/medieval and will be a monster under Bureaucracy with dikes (and Moai Statues? ).
