I think Wotan, that you're saying, "I don't pick the animation's attack points, I just put them together." I used to do some translating; it's an art.
I think I have to take issue with the idea that each unit in a multi-unit has to appear to strike the enemy. Particularly this unit, being a "swarm". Perhaps one could just move the swarming hornets closer to the sides of the frame, so that they'd swarm 'around' the target.
I think the only advice I'd give is, "Wotan, stagger the animation more. The units line up too much. Otherwise, it's fine."
