And then name it "Days of Sadat"?
UA: Land of the Free: Whenever you finish a World Wonder with a Great Work slot, gain a free Great Artist, Writer or Musician. During Golden Ages, Specialists provide +1 Production and Wonder Production is increased by 35%
UB: Town Hall: Garden replacement, doesn't need Fresh Water. +1 Food for every Great Work in the city.
UU: Cowboy: Lancer replacement. +3 Tourism and an Artist Specialist slot when garrisoned. May build Pastures.
That is more or less what I want to represent.
Actually... It's pretty funny that the best way to represent America's freedom ideals (bald eagle sounds) is by making a fake policy with one of Order's Level 3 tenets.
That actually sounds great!
The thing with Our World is that it's very different from pretty much everything else. JFD does it with janboruta. More Civs does it with Pouakai, Sukritact and help from others. Tarcisiocm does it alone. CL gets its art from a lot of sources, while Neirai codes and TPang is the head of the project. DJSHenninger makes his mods and art and Lua for ryanjames. Age of Imperialism mixes Civitar and Zantonius Hamm's coding with Civitar's and OrderOfOlav's art. And many others..
The reason Our World is the way it is is because I have no actual talent! But it is kind of interesting that all of these mod groups have different structures. We have fun with it - JFD's Modempire, Republic of More Civs, People's Republic of Our World?
Anyway, yes, we can work together and certainly can release jointly. Feel free to PM me or steam message me when you want to iron out the details.
JFDJFK for cultural America maybe?
I believe he'd be a pretty fitting president for this particular aspect.
UA: Glorious Decade: Conquered Cities have a Great Work of Music slot that when filled negates Occupied Unhappiness and grants +10 XP to units produced there. If you are at War, +50 Tourism whenever a Great Person is born, increasing to +150 Tourism after you adopt an ideology.
UB: Estancia: Stable replacement. +1 Culture on Sheep, Cattle and Horses. Has a Great Work of Music slot that when filled turns 15% of the Culture from Great Works, Natural Wonders, Wonders and Improvements into tourism.
UU: Cavalry replacement. May build Pastures. When garrisoned in a City, +15% Great Person Generation. Increases to +25% if the City is a Conquered City. Has the Great Admiral Promotion.
Autocracy leaning civ? Where?
I somehow feel like I liked the last design of the civ better, but I don't quite remember how it was. Man, it has been so long.
That Estancia looks really, really powerful. I mean, it doesn't give the Production bonuses I guess, but being able to produce so much tourism so early is potentially game breaking.
I presume the UU is the Farrapo. The Great Admiral Promotion is due to that time Garibaldi carried a bunch of ships through land, isn't it?
While this was out, I refined Rio Grande's design. What's you folks' opinions on it?
Clapping.Excuse me, but I'm going to don my American nationalist hat for a second. Whenever I hear my dad talking with his friends about the difference between life here and life in Cuba this is more or less what he says every time:
"Here time moves so fast. You're always doing something, you're always on the move, there's never a dull moment. That's the great thing about this country, there's always things for you to do. You never have enough time to do everything you want to do because there's some many things to do. But in Cuba, time is what we had too much of. Every moment was dull, every second was depressing, every minute was painful. You did the same thing every day because there was nothing to do and there was nothing you could do about it. There were no cars to travel in, there were no places to visit. Everyday you'd just walk around the same streets, in the same heat, because there was nothing to do at home. Maybe if you had enough money saved up you could go to the ice cream store or watch a movie, but you could only afford to do that once a month, maybe once every two months. Everyday it was the same slow, miserable suffering and life felt like an eternity that you weren't living."
Of course every immigrants experience is different, but in the stories of immigrants that I've heard personally, and I've heard a lot, the only people who are dissatisfied with their lives here are the few people who expected to come here and live easy without working. Of course this is coming from someone who knows a lot of immigrants, but all of them either come from totalitarian dictatorships or dysfunctional democracies.
Basically what I'm going on about here is that I think a cultural America civ should have something to do with people coming over for better lives. I could have said that in a sentence, but nationalism
Pouakai, get on this
