this thread is a piggy-back of of the icon request one :)

of course, it is related to TCW revision i'm working on and i'd love to not use the generic civ3 wonder splashes if at all possible. exact pictures of the specific units would be superb. generic pics w/ ships on the stocks or an image of a shipyard would also suffice should any willing artist be inclined :cool: and the images posted here aren't necessarily the ones any willing artist must use. iow, there's a lot of artistic freedom granted should you be kind enough to grant my requests :D

so i'll start out by requesting splashes for the 'naval contract' wonders that are available to many of the top-end civis. here we go:

All black-and-white splashes would be cool. Looks sophisticated.
 
All this can be converted to splashes very easily, if just having these pictures converted into splashes is enough for you, then your request is something very easy to do. :)
 
El Justo I can easily convert these pics into WS's if you like or I can allow you to choose from a selection I can showcase. Would you like them in color or B&W?
 
OK I know this isn't what you want but I wanted an excuse to play with the new warp tool in Photoshop CS3.

i should probably reiterate the point about me not having any gfx programs on any of my computers. so converting images to pcx files isn't even a possibility for me :) and i realize the simplicity in coverting them so that's why i petition the fine folks here at cfc for their help...

black and white images are preferred i'd think. and as for particular images, i guess it'd boil down to either a generic looking spash of a shipyard/stocks/etc or the actual images of the ships the splashes represent.

Ok, doing that now. :) I'll also increase a bit the size of the ship itself, I think it might be a little too small right now compared to the original size and to the 320 px limit. I'll post a preview when I'm finished. :)

The golden/gray frame in the second wonder is bigger just because the pic itself is bigger, and it would lose much detail if shrunk. I can make it just the size of the other ones, if you wish. Alternatively, I can enlarge the other ones.

I think the other ones will look a little better in game, as the quality of the Tiger pic wasn't as great as the one of the others, so it's normal that it doesn't look as good. :) Edit: Ah, it's also the JPG compression. Thanks for the screenshot, I'm now sure it actually works in game :)

I'll finish the others tomorrow, and I'll post them all (both color and black&white). :)



Edit 2: I'd do the other splashes now too, but it's almost 1 AM. :p
 
I've got this one that I made 2 years ago, it can be found on my Wondersplash thread, in my signature below.

It's more WWII than cold war, I made it originally for the naval academy.
