*** GAME FINISHED ***

Persia, played by Qummik, won a domination victory after nearly 18 months !

In 255 BC, a Carthaginian army lead by a Spartan general defeated the troops of the Roman 'Regulus" thanks to elephants and horsemen in Tunisia. Can you do better than him ?

It is a balanced and fast PBEM (only 4 human players) reserved for newbees and recent players who want a go at another PBEM. One more experienced player is welcome to play Carthage and to help out though.

It is for Conquests, using the MP version of the Rise of Rome scenario and the patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

Civs will be attributed randomly normally but you can state your prefered civ and if they don't contredict you will probably get it.

Carthage - Classical_hero
Celts - AI
Egypt - AI
Goths - AI
Macedonia - RedMan

You want to be in ? You have further questions ? Post in this thread (and indicate your playing time by GMT) or send me a PM. If ready to join, send me a PM with your e-mail.

When the rooster is full, I will send to all of you a planning e-mail with play order, e-mails, etc...

Organization : the game will be called "Regulus" to be recognizable and when you get the game, send a mail to inform the sender you got it (GPS = Got it, Played it, Sent it).

I'm in too.

Playing times are 2200-2400 GMT. I'm sending you the e-mail.

Would play any civ but Rome. I've played Rome in single player, so I want a change now... But if there's no other choice, I'm in for the Romans.

EDIT: once Yama rejected Persia, I want them. :)

***Game Started***

N.B. This means that the human order is:

***Not as the planning e-mail states***

Rome
The citizens of rome have cut the grass in front of the palace cave. How nice :)
Other than that we are peacefully living our lives in spite of the evil Carthaginian's designs on our poor farmlands.

In your Sepcial :) rules, Must be even more important than special ones, no deals are allowed. Does this include war and peace deals? What who mentioned the Celts, no they are our friends :D

Whatever you guys think. Can you raise captured cities. Like Rome raised Carthage to the ground in the end and spread salt all over it so nothing could grow again. That's city raising with a vengence. I like to be historically accurate  I assume your talking about your own cities here?

I saw the thread where a player destroyed everything cos he was getting beat. Fight to the end I say. You will have to :D

Well since we've got 3 votes already, the limit for city raising will be one.

So, every nation can only abandon ONE city for the entire game, and may the name of the burnt city be remembered throughout the history as a tragedy, and his leader as a butcher.

:)

EDIT: City destruction is ANOOTHER history... :nuke:

Rome
We have been interupted in our peceful farming in Messana by a hoard of Carthoginian brigands. Our legions appreciate the floor show as they dance across the hot lava in their sandles, while watching the bubbles rise from their sunken galley.

Now, that was not a nice thing to do. Sunked a fishing boat?
All know that we, the Almighty Cartagh are a very nice and peaceful fisher people... That the roman gods punish you for that insidious act!
And yes we have a couple of units over a volcano nearby. But that is just to have the hotfoot treatment, that our medicines recomend for who have a flu.
In spite of that, we will keep farming and fishing and do not answer that roman provocation.

Gps.

Rome
Another Carthoginian Brigand galley has been sunk off Messana. Fishermen  They carry large knives for gutting fish I suppose. We see no signs of any fish scales on the fishermen currently wandering around our lands. You will be removed soon enough. Rome will punish your "fishing village" for its impudence.
See our artists image of these supposed fishermen.

OOPS!
