As police comb the blast scene, the BBC's Alan Johnston says Brindisi's mayor has suggested a Mafia link.
A bomb blast outside a school in the south Italian city of Brindisi has killed a teenage girl and injured five other people, at least one seriously.

Now, the Mafia link is AFAIK not all that credible.
The Mafia is not know to target random people, even if the school seems not-so-random, but actually tries to get the population on their side. Not their usual MO.

I'm guessing homegrown nut-job aka a real terrorist.

It could be the Mafia, there is circumstantial evidence.

From The Telegraph

While the Italian government cautioned against jumping to conclusions about who might be behind the attack, local officials had little doubt, blaming it on the group and saying it may have been a reprisal for recent police operations.

“It was a Mafia attack,” said Nicola Fratoianni, a regional official. “A bomb placed in front of a school bearing the Falcone name is a clear message from the clans — a reprisal to recent police operations."

It's clearly the state officials who made the bomb and they're trying to put the blame on the Mafia!!!!!!!111!!!111oneoneone!!!

No, it can't even pull off a Bunga Bunga party in secret.

Well you said "aka a real terrorist". I'm not really seeing how this response is related to the status of "terrorists" vs. "real terrorists".

Because it seems like this attack was actual terrorism, i.e. someone trying to get something from causing fear.
Is it really that hard to understand?

Edit: I don't mean it as harsh as it seems, it's an honest question, nothing more. Just my lack of communication skills I suppose.
