Fiume and Tireste Fall!

Troops from the newly designated Army of the Adriatic have captured that Austrian port towns of Fiume and Tireste. While Fiume was undefended, the garrison of Tireste put up a fearsome fight for their city. After the inital regiment sent in to attack the city was beaten back with heavy losses, Emperor Napolean authorised the commitment of a Regiment of his Imperial Guard.

With contempt for enemy fire, the brave Guardsmen charged into Tireste's fortress, and cleared it through hand-to-hand fighting. Once the Tricolour was raised over the fortress, the remainder of the Army cleared the rest of Tireste in house-to-house fighting.
