Cant save a game with mods

On my home computer i can do this but on work comp save/load menu options are absent. Why?
I use same mods, same install.
The only difference is that at work i run the game in offline mode.

It's a Bug (or Feature http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=386183

"Delete the three .ini files located in "My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5" and the .db files modified after the installation (except Civ5CoreDatabase.db) in "My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache". (I am not sure if all of these files need to be deleted. But I am sure that if you delete all of them, it will work.) Then the Save, Load, and Quick Save buttons will appear."

did this work for you? i have the same problem and cant seem to find a solution. Im not on the interweb at home. Its not cause of that is it?
