Community Patch - How To Install

With the new format of VP how can I go about tweaking files? I used to turn off the xp cap for fighting barbs and I can no longer find that option to change. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
As of this update I am now once again having my game crash just before Renaiisance age. I am willing to post mods if someone wants to help look over that list, however I did try clearing cache and reverting to a prior save game. With same results.

hi guys,
after use this mod on my game , when the game asks me to select social policies but somehow I can't open social policies screen and I can't end turn. Could someone help me ?
 
Hello,

I simply CANNOT get this mod to work with the auto installer. I have tried a completely clean installation of the game, with only Vox Populi and its mods installed (4 mods in total).
After activating all the Vox mods in the mod screen I start the game and VP is never active. I already tried so many things.
I've tried installing many times, I aim the installer at the correct folders (the game's installation folder and the 'my games\sid meier's civilization 5' folder.) I tried deleting cache and moduserdata folders, I tried installing the game on my C: drive just in case instead of my other drive and then uninstalling + reinstalling everything, nothing works.

I have all expansions and DLC (except scrambled continents + nations map packs). My 4 VP mods are inside the MODS folder in 'my games\sid meier's civilization 5'. Why wouldn't it work?

Edit: I just noticed that if I try to activate the mods "again" after they were already activated, the game just completely crashes.

Any help would be appreciated! Wasted the last 3 hours trying to solve this and I'm out of ideas :(

SOLVED: OMFG. I wasted HOURS on this and it turns out the solution was "You have to start a game from the MODS menu, not from the MAIN menu. Don't press "back" press "single player" above it." This should really be added in huge bold letters to every and any guide about installing VP. The way its set up is so unintuitive!

Can someone tell me how to fix details of buidlings/units? I did clean install game, clean install VP and still same. Now I noticed that all is ok with details before first city. After I build city it looks like on SS. Please help.

Either you play the mod in the wrong game mod or you installed the mod in the incorrect folder.
Oh yeah and also remove any old EUI trace if you happen to already installed it outside of the VP installer before.

I used auto installer and I think its in good place. In C....documents/my games/Sid../MODS. Installer had two steps. First install in C/documents and second in game directory.
I didnt use any mods before, just YnAEMP. I even tried change language for full english but still same. But why all is ok with details before first city?

Dont know maybe this version is bugged? I have 4.6
Game version is Platinum, all dlcs and maps
When I try community map it has no recources and ruins. Also crash when I try to change resource options for random, need to stay in normal.
Also cant open social policy window.

I dont know, maybe Ill give with vox populi but wanted to try something new

I did, hope you can see them. Yesterday I treid wihout EUI mod but this time had TEXT_KEY issue and I could open social policy window this time. Now I have to reinstall game again coz I cant set graphic options for higher, msaa etc. This 4.6 VP must be bugged.

I could only pack them in winrar coz txt files not loading here. Today I did delete everything what related to Civ5, clean install game + mods + YnAEMP by CAYM and still same. All mods load together in game but cant pick any map from CAYM, game didnst see them (without VP is ok). I dont know where is the problem. Must be something with 3a compatibile.

Edit: OK YnAEMP mod works but still rest of issues with VP

I tried YnAEMP + just community patch. Game looks like in picutre. I thought interface should look like original with EUI and VP off?

When does the XP cap kick in?

I tested this in era before Atomic, with / without xml code below, and got experience for attacking barbarian camp in both cases.
Not sure whether barbarian vs barbarian-camp same thing though. And not sure when XP cap kicks in, so not 100% whether cap has been removed with CP + VP.

Woud like to know from modders, for certain, too

CITIES - MIN DISTANCE

I've added below xml mod to my games

It seems to work, as i can only found new cities 6 tiles away from my city

1. Hope this applies to all Civs?!

2. How do I xml update the text "Cannot found a City within 4 tiles..." ---> "within 5 tiles"?
Have searched for "cannot found" within Windows search under VP / CP folders and Civ5 base game folders, but no luck

Is it possible to overhaul the relationship levels?
Friendships r so easily ended in the game

Friendships - better trades, etc. meh level e.g. China n Russia
Affilliated - shared military structures; heal improvements; units upgradeable. Expected to join wars but not mandatory impacting relationship. Decent level e.g. S Korea + US
Allied - full cooperation. Winnable as teammates. Max level e.g. UK + US

However, in any game i play now, AI Civs declare war too hastily.
I leave all victory conditions enabled, but it's almost seemingly irrelevant. Regardles of whether facing Gandhi or Khan, it just seems the same - military / tech / science is most important.
Every Civ feels, "agressive".
I find it almost impossible to build my empire as a peacful farmer in my little corner.

Is it possible to edit AI Civs gameplay / reactions based on their personaility even more?
So, one would have to siht on Gandhi's doorstep before he declared war. Equally, if one had 2 more horses than Khan, he would not hesistate to raid your hometown.
