This isn't a drawing or painting, but it's cool. There was a flock of turkeys outside a local church this week.

Why can I hear bouzouki music when my computer is muted?

This 19th century imitation of a medieval "Book of Hours" shared the 1889 Lyons World's Fair Grand Prize with the Eiffel Tower!
Why?
Spoiler :
Because it was woven in silk!

What is that Turkish seinfeld or hipster seinfeld, I can't tell. George looks like a character from Pirates of the Caribbean and everybody else looks like a character from Zoolander. Kramer looks like a guy that'd walk up to you in the street randomly and say: "I do for you". Jerry sort of looks like he might have been bred with a horse and/or grease era travolta

Hope Through The Storm

Aerial view of an iceberg graveyard where the wind and current push those giants into shallow water before there are stranded here in East Greenland.

Both parts of a project to provide financial support to community-orientated conservation organizations. If you want a hard copy to hang on your wall they start at $275 for 28 cm x 40.7 cm so if you are rolling in money then perhaps check it out.

This is $30,000 USD. It is a picture taken when this was savanna with lions, then printed out life size, returned to where it was taken (note the horizon is consistent) and a photo taken with the current degraded climate. He has done a load of them.

Coccolithophores. These marine phytoplankton make intricate oval structures intracellularly — called coccoliths — that are then extruded to surround the organism’s surface (the species shown is Emiliania huxleyi). Beaufort et al. analysed coccoliths in ancient marine sediments, and their findings indicate that eccentricity in Earth’s orbit had a role in shaping phytoplankton evolution.

Stupid-Looking Statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest Comes Down in Nashville
...
The fiberglass abomination was sculpted in 1998 by Jack Kershaw, the former attorney for Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassin and the founder of the white nationalist organization the League of the South, which the Southern Poverty Law Center has designated a hate group. Kershaw was seemingly unaware of how dumb the statue looked. When faced with complaints about his creation, he told the Times-Picayune that “somebody (needed) to say a good word for slavery.”
...
Standing 25-feet-tall in plain view of the highway, the statue was an appropriately deranged monument to American racism. It depicted Forrest, a Confederate general who directed the massacre of mostly Black Union soldiers during the Civil War after they had surrendered.
...
In 2015, Gawker deemed it “the most fitting monument to the ugly idiocy of southern history” and argued that it should be kept forever because it is “so hilariously stupid.”
