[discontinued] AI AutoPlay 11 - Deity - Pick the Winning Leader!

EDIT December 13th 2016:

This competition is now officially discontinued. The main reason is that I'm no longer interested in putting in all the work needed to get my results. Instead I'm referencing Keler's results from this thread:

https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...vilization-4-leaders-tournement.551932/page-6

Here Keler did run sixty (60!) tournaments to get his results. Thus eliminating my former interest in doing the AI AutoPlay Deity games for myself.

But sometime next year, I may be interested in experimenting with some AI Head-to-Head games...maybe...
--- --- --- End of Edit --- --- ---

Welcome back to the eleventh game of the AI AutoPlay Deity - Pick the Winning Leader! competition.

After a rather long pause during the summer, this fun little competition is back. With a few changes. The C-part of the competition has been simplified. The reason is that I can't spend too much time noting down everything that happens in the game. Also, the after-action report will now consist of me releasing the "world history" from the game in question in a YouTube-video. With a couple of commentaries before and/or after the history has played out... We'll see how it goes!

Main Continent:
Churchill, Gilgamesh, Justinian I, Mansa Musa, Pericles, Sitting Bull & Victoria (7)

West Continent:
Catherine, Roosevelt & Stalin (3)

East Continent:
Peter & Suleiman (2)

North West Island:
Shaka (1)

Only two participants chose Justinian I of Byzantium as the winning leader!

:trophy: dutchfire :trophy:
Had Space Race, AD 1900

:trophy2nd: lymond :trophy2nd:
Didn't give condition or date. So considered 2nd because of missing those.

Spoiler Honourable Mentions (i.e. parts B and C) :

Part B: Eliminations

- 58.33
dutchfire - 50.00
TheCox - 41.67

Part C: Russia

Spoiler THE COMPETITION :

A - Used to determine competition winner(s)!
Name the winning leader! [A1]
(the victory condition [A2] and winning date [A3] optional, but highly recommended!)

Competition winner(s) will be declared after considering A1, A2 and A3, respectively.

# if two participants have the correct leader, but only the second one has chosen condition and/or date, the latter will be declared competition winner (with the former 2nd placed).

*Winning date can be a period. But of course; the narrower the period, the better the reputation of the ones to get it right!

PS!
You are NOT allowed to chose more than ONE leader. But you can of course comment on your own choice by mentioning other possible scenarios and winning leaders, as long as you make it clear whom your final choice IS! Posters choosing more than one leader, will be disqualified!

B - Rise and Fall of...who?
Name the useless! [Bn]
(those leaders who get themselves eliminated - if any (I won't tell just yet!))

C - Just for Fun!
This time we have all three Russian leaders (Catherine, Peter, Stalin) in one game! Part C will focus on that fact. Here is the competition: Rank the three Russian leaders. Tell me if they die or survive. Give me their final place (among all 13 leaders).

Spoiler EXPLANATION :

For each correct Rank: 3 pts
For each correct Die/Survive: 2 pts
For each correct Place: 6 pts
For each Place (1-3 off): 3 pts
For each Place (4-6 off): 2 pts
For each Place (7-9 off): 1 pt

Maximum points: 33 (9 for Rank, 6 for Die/Survive and 18 for Place)

I'd prefer it if you use this format (example):
Rank A - Leader One - Survive - 1st (Winner)
Rank B - Leader Two - Survive - 6th
Rank C - Leader Three - Eliminated - 13th

If you have Leader One to survive and win the game; Leader Two to survive and come 6th and Leader Three to get eliminated first, you will end up with 33 points. Easy as one, two, three :D

*There will be a new table under Honourable Mentions for the C part of the competition.

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND and want to change your choices, you are allowed to do so before the deadline passes. But you MUST edit your first post. After the competition deadline has arrived, the posts will be examined in chronological order. If multiple posts exists, by the same user, only the FIRST post containing A1 (optionally A2 and A3) will be allowed to enter the competition.
Posts NOT containing A1, will be disqualified from the competition.

Thanks for participating. The results will be in tomorrow (within 26 hours of right now).

Not really impressed to see that imperialistic Catherina and Victoria putting 3 cities only :hmm:
and possibly blocked by barbarians too?

Do you have score table for this?
And finally, I liked that you uploaded this on youtube as video. I have no idea how to do that but that was fun to watch. :)

Something like this?
Spoiler Scorelist :

Happy you found it fun to watch. I tried to make it a little bit less boring than my voice may indicate at times... :D

PS!
I recorded in OBS-MP, cropped the footage in Avidemux, recorded voice in Audacity and edited in Lightworks (free version). All of it recording/editing software that is free to aquire, in other words. And that just about equals my budget for this kind of software at the moment, unfortunately...

More like info screen graph screenshot showing score in the game :)

But it is also nice to see your scoreboard for this one too :D
Sorry for your budget

Hope to see more AIAPs of yours

yeah, Justinian is always strong.

Sorry to hear that. Enjoyed your write ups.

Thank you. Nice to hear. :thanx:

I am thinking about a different format to try out next year, though. A head-to-head league format.
It's only in the planning stages at the moment, but I think I will use a scoring system giving points for building cities/wonders/projects, winning the Lib-race, circumnavigation, founding religions and, of course, reaching a victory-condition.

We'll see how little work I can get away with and still make in interesting. There won't be any competitions for predicting the outcome of games, though. That would be too much work, and too slow going. But I will no doubt record the games. Perhaps even make the timelines available to watch as 3-6 minute video's on the most popular of the video-platform websites. I predict starting around February/Mars, if all goes according to plan.

Here's hoping that real-life doesn't throw an oddball to ruin my grandios plans...

Sincerely
Kjotleik
