King Treesword I was old, yet he still attempted to help defend the Empire. He stationed Longbowmen at all the places for Barbarians and animals to enter to keep the empire safe.
By 429, veterans of the war settled in the far East, the unexplored land near the mountains that separated Ljosfar from the Malakim. They called it Yoanna after the Kings current wife.
King Treesword I died in 423. He ordered a massive tomb, known as the Hall of Kings, to be made to hold all the bodies of Kings past and future. It was completed by 424. He was succeeded by his son Firdeer IV, who wanted to conquer the rest of his land. The Reconquest had begun.
Huge attacks were launched at all Barbarians. Mages summoned huge fireballs and waves of water to attack the savages. Eventually, they came to the Barbarian capitol city of Kabhalg. It was guarded by the ferocious Acheron the Red Dragon. Kithra was sent to kill it. After an epic battle, with many casualties on both sides from arrows and fire, Acheron was killed by a arrow the was shot on accident and hit the jugular. Kithra had done the impossible once again.
By 448, King Firdeer IV met a dangerous foe. If the Angels were truly angels, then the Infernal were demons. The plan to attack began from the moment they were found.
Gibbon, an elf who traveled the world, finally anointed the Ljosfar the most advanced civilization in the world in 451. Celebrations commenced throughout the Empire. Maybe because of this patriotic spirit, Kabhalg was finally taken in 452, with Baron Duin Halfmoon conquering the city. Knights then took the rest of the lands. King Firdeer IV died in 455, happy in knowing that he added two cities to the empire. King Treesword II completed a ritual known as the Celestial Compass, which would make everything quicker in the Empire.
By 459, a horrible plague swept across the empire. Thousands died, but the empire endured. King Treesword II perished in the plague, but King Treesword III was determined to hold the Empire together.
He began by granting independence to all the old Bannor and Angel cities. They submitted to Ljosfar rule, and were allowed to be vassals. A friend of Kithras, Captain Uldanor was allowed to control what quickly became known as the colonies.
I shall soon return with the ending to my tale.
Will the Ljosfar survive? Will there be several massive wars? Will a giant Horseman of Death ride into Ljosfar? Stay tuned.
