While I was busy reinforcing Papua New Guinea against the expansion of the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere, the Vikings decided it was high time to take Scotland.

"Okay guys, storm the countryside!"

"And set off the nuke!"

Unfortunately for them, they did so in that order...



Tactics fail. Since most of my troops are fighting the Japanese invasion of New Guinea, all I have left in Britain is a Mech Inf and a War Elephant. But along with a Main Battle Tank flying in from South America this turn, all of a sudden a sure loss turns into a likely win... and I didn't even have to fire a nuke for it.

Downside, the Scots are nuked. But better nuked and not conquered than nuked and conquered.

Nixon was never impeached. Only Clinton and Andrew Johnson have had impeachment trials. Both failed to get them out of office.

I know, but the event stated that Congress wanted to impeach the President and that there was popular support for it. That more closely matches Nixon's situation because he only avoided impeachment by resigning. There was never majority popular support for impeaching Clinton.
