Glad to hear from you Larkin. Can you be more specific? I know we all like to see you stay and play. But if you are unable to play in a timely manner then you should let us know. I'm sure Eric could play the current turn if you need some more time and get back in for the may turn??? What do you think?

I had a close look at the situation. No armies (fronts) left, almost no armor left and
the bulk of the Russian army is trapped in Tula. I say we end this one and look at starting a new
game in a week or two.

How did Larkin lose all his armies? He has been a tough adversary in
the Napoleon game I'm surprised it all came apart so fast.

The biggest thing propably was the lack of pressure from the Common Wealth. We both had pretty much all our landbased units in Russian soil.

I guess he got his armies concentrated around Moscow, i just bombed the crap out of surrounding roads and made hit and run, hit, went back and healed, hit again, repeat. Used Mech Inf and Light tanks as road and railroad pillagers while keeping them on top of barricade hill at end of turn.

Making a threat towords Stalingrad also helps keeping a lot of his forces pinned down...radar +25% did the rest i guess...

It also helps starting with 11 or so Foreign workers and Berlin beeing able to make armies in a single turn. Makes a world of a diference the extra workers, the flaks air superiority was not a good ideia though...

I lost 5 armies if i´m not mistaken, but i could replace them with better ones almost each turn as the Panthers started rolling out. I guess Russia didn´t replace that fast...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the lack of CW pressure helped. The first popup for me of the game as Britain was "Plymouth has produced a Militia". Trade goods were piling up in Halifax harbor. I probably would have been ready to land at Cherbourg in 7-10 turns, so Russia wouldn't have much relief.

And I'm in for another round, let's just make sure we get some reliable players for this one.
