LK30 - Regent, city placement training.

And I'm guessing I should just keep on with the warrior? So we can have defense or searcher.

That is your decision.

Of course, not much else to build.
To early for a settler.

Before I play. I was just wondering what you ment by how many turns. Are you saying I should play 20 turns.

Play the game until 3000BC -
pausing if needed for a settler location decision.

Notes:
I suggest that the next thing we build is a settler or barracks.

I tried to load the game to take a look at it.
EMPTY zip file - 0 bytes. I am not sure why this is a upload system problem? This looks like a zip the file problem.

Please upload a new one. I want to confirm that we can switch Berlin right now to settler. I also want to let the next person start playing.

Berlin should switch to Settler NOW before building Spearman.
The AI gets there 2nd city about this time - we don't want to fall behind the city growth curve.

>>robehans should immediately propose his city site before moving.

Reading the report - Was any trading tried with America?

gunning1
robehans (plays 10 turns)
Nick014 (on deck)
Kublai-Khan
da_greatest

10 turns per player
24 hours for got it, 48 hours total time

You must pause your turn the second a settler is BUILT and propose the city to be built.
At the point I will comment on city choice and the proposed location, and you will finish your turn

Oh well... got and played it til i got a settler... :)

So here's the dot-map...

I could'nt see any real good spots exept for the blue spot further north, and thought that we can get the dot with the arrow to grow strong if we get rid of those jungle sq's.

So, what do you think?

Suggestion for all - Please the control-g (grid line) when creating the dot maps
Perhaps attach the game in it's current state, then I can create a better response.

I have found that to be VERY important to check for amount of overlap or wasted space.
It it very hard to do that without the gridline on.
I think there is wasted areas on the map, but I can't tell.

I drew black line around what I think is the area with your proposed site.
This is a site that we want but it is a green dot, site to take AFTER the good ones.
Jungle takes forever to clear, and we are not even industrious.
I count ZERO natural grasslands - this city will take forever to grow and have many shields.
The first cities should be near the capital with lots of grassland, plains with water available, or bonus food tiles.

The red square on the map shows potential, but maybe not that exact spot - slightly closer to the capital.

The best site is my white dot. Very close to the capital, plenty of grass land for decent growth.
The reason I moved it one from your blue dot - to take advantage of the fact that building the city will AUTO-CLEAR the jungle.
This gains us one more grassland for a 1st ring city.
robehans - continue on, and build white dot city.
